We are looking for a senior site manager for earthworks with documented and extensive experience from larger infrastructure projects with complex ground and geotechnical conditions.

This is a role for you who have already worked several years in a leading position within larger construction contracts and have concrete experience in extensive earthworks management as well as work in landslide-sensitive clay areas.

Responsibilities

You will have a qualified responsibility within the earthworks area in both the design and production phases. The work is carried out in close collaboration with the contractor and other project functions.

Your main tasks include:

• Production support in technical earthwork issues
• Review of work preparations and control programs
• Monitoring of progress, quality, work environment, and environment
• Management and follow-up of deviations
• Participation in inspections and assessments
• Follow-up of inspection remarks
• Verification of costs, diaries, and invoicing
• Preparation of documentation for changes in time, cost, and scope
• Forecasting and financial follow-up within the technical area
• Management of notifications and changes

You will also actively participate in design-related issues such as earthworks management, constructability assessments, production methods, and risk-reducing measures in geotechnically challenging environments.

Mandatory Requirements – do not apply if you do not meet all

• Technical university education in earthworks/construction or equivalent documented competence
• At least 3 years of combined experience in the last 10 years as a site manager/project manager/production manager in the production phase.
• Earthworks (or equivalent supervisory role) in infrastructure projects that have included:
• Excavation and removal of at least 60,000 m³ of clay materials (both stackable and non-stackable clay)
• At least 3 years of experience from projects involving the execution of mixing columns corresponding to at least 30,000 meters
• At least 3 years of experience as a site manager/project manager/production manager in the production phase.
• Earthworks in landslide-sensitive areas with sensitive clay and quick clay
• Documented experience in risk management in work areas with geotechnical restrictions
